An extraordinary painter – Ritchey Jacoubs

Ritchy is a real life classic and abstract painter – “I’m in sl to show my work to the world, sl is a great medium, I have a website too, see the tag above my head ritcheysealy.com.au” – He tries to develop his own unique style, and he likes to chase light! He is very inspired by the impressionists. Also by a lot of modern painters like Jackson Pollock. He likes them because of how they painted light and used colorus. Ritchey is from an art family in real life. – He consider Claude Monet, and Hans Heysen as the soul painting fathers of his art. He paints landscapes directly from life- He says: “where i live many of the subjects are just near home so ill be there at certain times” -

Legewen, a new star in modern secondlife clubs

Legewen Bailey is getting ready to spin her new set at club woods 1pm to 2 pm SLT, 1st Dec. 2008. Lege started to learn djing 1 year ago- lege: ” I am not a dj in real life, I started it in SL and that made me make a lot of friends who like to listen to me! I spend 30% of my second life time in making music, 50% in listening to it, and 20% for hanging out” – “My new set is called playlist15 for now, but when i record it, it will be called GWeN goes deep in woods. I make myspace site, but for now people can join group EleKtroChic posse where they get in my notes where to download the set!”- my set recorded while i perform only,this is why they should wait until i finish 2morrow!

The dream is coming..

Mr.Stefanik Dagostino the owner of S&S Gallery of fine arts is getting ready to open the new exhibition of the Serbian artist igor ballyhoo, we are currently viewing one of his installation art .. not sure yet about the meaning, but it has to do with his personal experience in the balkan war era, and the art just looks great. In search for form and color..

You know when an artist works a lot in different forms, textures, scripts.. and keep working until s/he finds an eye pleasing form.. I felt here like that .. shoshisn Shilova is an artist that doesn’t need to tell me at all how she made all that art.. I can just read it from the result. It is a pure secondlife based art.. Normally this type of art doesn’t please my eye, but I like this place.. simpley because the artist has a deep feeling of the virtual environment.. Don’t depend on this screenshot to judge it! what You see now is changing everysecond in colors! I think if time is not limited today I will take more photos of some gemotrical abstracted forms here and post them to koinup.

An interesting exhibition for the artist Selavy Oh

Selavy Oh made an interesting secondlife art building based art which is a mix between the sharp edged box prims in different sizes and at different placements/alignments based on some hidden plan, glowing effects, animated textures, and – currently while I write this post – music and dance animation.. the animation are placed in a parallel way with the prims placement. Windlight photography in this art place would be very interesting.

Selvay Oh says: “It’s a space with a purpose, Nur wants to do her parties here, it invites artists to create an environment, so people have to find a place for dancing, and some “party-athmosphere”. I’m interested in the notion of “space” in a virtual environment! Space has a different meaning here and i want to examine it.”
